(카이로=연합뉴스) 김상훈 특파원 = 이스라엘군이 팔레스타인 무장정파 하마스의 기습 사흘째인 9일(현지시간) 가자지구 분리장벽 주변지역의 통제권을 회복했다고 밝혔다.

이스라엘군 대변인인 다니엘 하가리 소장은 이날 브리핑에서 가자지구 인근 주거지 등에 대한 통제권을 완전히 회복했다면서 "지난 몇시간 동안 팔레스타인 테러범과의 교전은 외딴 지역에 국한됐다"고 말했다.

그는 "현재 이스라엘 내 어떤 도시에서도 교전은 벌어지지 않고 있다"며 "다만, 인근 지역에 (은신한) 테러범들이 남아있을 수는 있다"고 덧붙였다.

하가리 소장은 지난 7일 하마스 무장대원들이 침투하면서 부순 분리 장벽에는 탱크와 전투 헬기, 드론 등을 배치했다고 설명했다.

또 가자 분리 장벽 지역의 24개 도시 가운데 15개 도시의 주민들을 모두 대피시켰으며, 앞으로 며칠 안에 나머지 도시의 소개도 완료할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 다만, 인구 3만명이 넘는 도시 스데로트는 주민 대피 대상이 아니라고 부연했다.

그에 따르면 하마스와 충돌이 시작된 이후 가자지구에서 이스라엘로 총 4천400여발의 로켓이 발사됐으며, 지난 48시간 동안 총 30만명의 예비군이 동원됐다.

하가리 대변인은 "하마스의 가자지구 지도자인 야히야 신와르가 이번 기습작전의 사령관 역할을 맡았다면서. 그는 이제 죽은 목숨"이라며 "하마스의 군사, 정치 지도자와 모든 자산이 공격 및 저주의 대상"이라고 강조했다.

한편, 하마스의 공격으로 이스라엘에서 발생한 사망자는 이날 오전까지 700명으로 추산된다. 이스라엘 보건부가 집계한 부상자는 2천382명이다.
